ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Overseeing the collection, transport, handling, repackaging, storing and preparation of hazardous waste for shipment; 2) Ensuring that stored hazardous wastes are in the proper physical location within facility and safely stacked and segregated to prevent accidental mixing of incompatible materials; 3) Establishing and maintaining communication networks essential to the efficient management of the Hazardous Waste Management System; and 4) Collecting samples of water, air, soil, and unknown and known hazardous wastes, using varying collection devices.
