Public Affairs Specialist GS-1035-7/9, FPL 12 (Recent Graduate)

Minimum Qualification Requirements For GS-07 You may meet the minimum qualifications for the GS-07, if you possess the specialize experience, education, or a combination of the two. Specialized Experience for the GS-7 One year of experience in either federal or non-federal service that is equivalent to at least a GS-05 performing two (2) out of three (3) of the following duties or work assignments: 1. Experience planning, organizing, and conducting elements of information to the public. 2. Experience determining effective communication techniques to reach target audiences. 3. Experience working on an element of a public affairs campaign. OR EDUCATION (see EDUCATION SECTION of the vacancy announcement) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) For GS-7 The quality of your experience will be measured by the extent to which you possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs). Knowledge of administrative principles, concepts, and methodologies sufficient to carry out segments of projects. 2. Ability to apply well-established program operations, techniques and methods. 3. Specialized Experience for the GS-09 One year of experience in either federal or non-federal service that is equivalent to at least a GS-07 performing two (2) out of three (3) of the following duties or work assignments: 1. Experience collaborating with others to produce effective public affairs information and campaigns for a variety of audiences. 2. Experience planning, organizing, and conducting elements of information creation and dissemination to the public and builds informed public support for various programs. 3. Experience presenting information to explain programs, projects, or activities to internal and external audiences.
