Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade or band is required. It is defined as one year of specialized experience equivalent to the DE-03 pay band (GS-13 level) in the Federal Service which includes experience in ALL of the following areas: Specialized Experience: (1) Planning the work and strategic direction of a diverse group of professional scientist, engineers and technical personnel engaged in conducting research investigations/studies in support of a range of Chemical Biological Defense (CBD) applications; and (2) Managing or supporting complex to highly complex and state of the art projects and programs that are critical to key Army research and development programs. (3) Ability to communicate professionally with highly technical internal and external stakeholders involved in engineering, research and development. (4) Managing or supporting budget planning, execution, program initiation and allocation of organizational resources including policies and concepts with experience handling competing priorities in the delivery of chemical and biological solutions.
