Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions GENERAL EXPERIENCE: The applicant must have, or within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement will have, 3 years general experience, 1 year of which is equivalent to Federal experience at the next lower grade (GS-04), level, pay band (NH-01), or equivalent (pay schedule, pay band, etc). General experience is described as: aiding with the duties, priorities, commitments, policies, and program goals of an organization sufficient to perform non-routine assignments such as: independently noting and following-up on commitments made at meetings/conferences; advising others on preparing correspondence, requirements for various reports, and interpreting new instructions and procedures; locating and summarizing information from files and documents that requires recognizing which information is/is not relevant to the problem at hand; assisting with procurement and contract administration, security, human resources management, space and equipment utilization, travel, records management, timekeeping and other administrative support services. NOTE: Due to the use of 120 day rosters, applicants who will meet experience requirements within 120 days are encouraged to apply. OR EDUCATION: The applicant has successfully completed a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor’s degree. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts. OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: The applicant has equivalent combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience to meet the total qualification requirements of the position as outlined above. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of regulations, policies, and procedures pertaining to various administrative support functions. 2. Ability to research, analyze, interpret, and apply regulations, policies, and procedures. 3. Broad knowledge of the organization, programs, missions, and functions of the Air Force, AFMC, and A3/6 organizations to assign work and conduct studies to determine effects on organizational activities. 4. Skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems of a procedural or factual nature. 5. Ability to access or locate information through the use of a personal computer, the internet, and software programs. 6. Skill in written and oral communications. 7. Ability to maintain good working relationships and to gain cooperation from others through tact, courtesy, and diplomacy. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The primary purpose of this position is to manage the processes and personnel, managing incoming and outgoing tasks for the Air, Space and Cyberspace Directorate. Provides planning, directing, and organizing over Directorate workflow processes. Serves as resident expert on implementing assigned programs and advising directorate leadership on guidelines and processes.
