An applicant’s eligibility will be determined based on eligibility claimed in the questionnaire and proof of eligibility MUST be provided with application by the closing date, 05/12/2025 Business Based Action, Military Spouse Preference, Outside Applicant Veteran, Spouse/Widow/Parent of Veteran, and Transition Hiring Preference In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Practical knowledge of recreational programs, recreational activities, rules, and procedures is desirable; however, no experience is required. Ability to safeguard and handle cash is desired. Skill in the use and maintenance of various recreational equipment is also desirable. Must be physically fit and capable of lifting and moving up to 40 pounds. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Must complete CPR and First Aid training for adults and children within 30 days of being hired. Satisfactory completion of installation records checks, state and national criminal background checks may be required for positions that provide lifesaving duties for children. Successful completion and favorable adjudication of applicable background investigation (Tier 1 Level) is required. Must be courteous and exercise diplomacy and tact when dealing with co-workers, supervisors, and customers. Expected to have no more than two (2) valid customer complaints per rating cycle. Cash handling procedures must be adhered to with no more than four (4) minor errors per rating cycle permitted. Minor errors are classified as overages or shortages of $10.00 or less. Must submit required reports and documents in proper fom1at IAW proper procedures within time frames established by supervisor, with no more than four (4) submissions submitted with erroneous information or improper format per rating cycle. Expected to adhere to all fire, safety, and security regulations and practices with no more than (1) violation per rating cycle. Provides accurate guidance and assistance to patrons concerning program events, tickets, fees, equipment, instructions, etc. Resolves problems promptly with minimal adverse impact to the customer and to the activity. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
About the position: This position will be assigned to the This position will be assigned to the Joint Base Charleston or Naval Weapons Station Base Pool. Will be determined by the facility. May work have to work at both the Charleston Air Force Base and Weapon Station which is be determined by the facility. Physical Effort: Must be physically fit and be capable of lifting and moving up to 40 pounds.
