Base Operations Manager (Title 32) (Permanent)

WHO CAN APPLY: GROUP I – In order to be eligible for this position you must be a Commissioned Officer (O5/LTC (promotable)-O6/COL) currently employed (permanent) in the Virginia Army National Guard Military Technician Program. Military Grades: a Commissioned Officer (O5/LTC (promotable)-O6/COL) GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have experience or training which demonstrates the ability to serve as a manager with responsibility for all aspects of training and management. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have at least 12 months of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-13 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. This experience must include activities such as: Experience managing all aspects of operations in order to provide 24-hour operational readiness. Experience being responsible for the management of a variety of funds to support operations in accordance with current laws, rules, and regulations. Experience communicating and performing complex coordination on matters pertaining to funds usage, supply, and training support activities. Experience exercising supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
