House of Representatives - Legislative Branch
Bachelor’s degree with at least seven (7) years of experience or master’s degree with five (5) years of experience, principally in Continuity of Operations (COOP) or Emergency Management. Minimum of two (2) years project management experience in corporate, Legislative, and/or government environments. Top Secret security clearance required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance. Experience working in an operations center (activation, day-to-day operations, and/or system maintenance). Demonstrated competence in a wide range of technical and administrative areas, to include budget, COOP, continuity of government (COG), and Emergency Management.
The Sergeant at Arms (SAA) Emergency Management Division (EMD) provides and implements a comprehensive emergency management and continuity program for the U.S. House of Representatives. The incumbent is responsible for the management of the House Operations Center, development of special event plans and operational equipment, assets, and capabilities, including, checklists, job aids, reference documentation, and incident management organizational structures. This is a supervisory position.
