In addition to the basic entry education requirements, you must have specialized experience and/or directly related education as described below: To qualify for the GS-15 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level defined as providing national direction and support for the use of compliance and enforcement information management systems. Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of strategic compliance and enforcement programs across a broad range of environmental statutes. Skill in applying statistics, data analysis, and evidence-based decision-making across a range of social science disciplines. Ability to lead and complete implementation of specific major projects and miscellaneous assignments of national significance. Knowledge of EPA administrative policies and procedures. Skill in written communication, sufficient to prepare reports and briefings Knowledge of the Standards of Ethical Conduct for Executive Branch Employees. Skill in interpersonal and administrative organization and coordination. Knowledge of oversight policies of the EPA Office of Inspector General and U.S. Government Accountability Office. Skill in dealing effectively with and maintaining good working relationships with high-ranking officials. Ability to prepare reports, briefing materials, and testimony for delivery at meetings with high-ranking officials. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
