Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience: One year specialized experience which includes 1) Planning and recommending the installation of physical security systems to ensure the safety and security of facilities and personnel; 2) Developing and/or implementing procedures and practices in an effort to detect and prevent physical security vulnerabilities; 3) Assigning responsibilities for resolving, security issues to cover multiple security objectives; and 4) Utilizing knowledge of various security equipment and devices to implement protective methods and security procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
