An undergraduate or graduate degree in related fields such as Physical Education, Kinesiology, Sports Administration/ Management, or Recreation may be substituted for twelve (12) months work experience. – This experience may have been gained in an indoor or outdoor environment working with recreational programs, events, and/ or facilities. – Possesses and maintains the following certifications: American Red Cross Lifeguarding and First Aid; CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED. – Possesses demonstrated experience in planning and executing aquatic or recreational programs/ events. – Possess demonstrated experience in leading or supervising aquatics or recreation staff. Other desirable qualities include: – Lifeguard Instructor (Red Cross). – Water Safety Instructor (Red Cross). – Lifeguard Instructor Trainer (Red Cross).
