For the GS-05 grade level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Knowledge and application of a general body of transportation regulations, methods, and practices to perform a variety of interrelated transportation support assignments in connection with shipment management of personal property by government or commercial means. Examples of specialized experience may include the following: 1) Assist with the determination of entitlements or procedures, related to temporary storage of goods, weight allowances, prohibited items, and shipment of unaccompanied baggage, privately owned vehicles, and household goods; 2) Assist with selecting carriers and arranging for the pickup, delivery, and storage of personal property; and 3) Utilize automated information systems to input/correct a range of shipment information or track shipments. For the GS-06 grade level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Knowledge and application of an extensive body of transportation regulations, methods, and practices to perform a wide variety of interrelated or nonstandard transportation support assignments and resolve a wide range of problems in connection with shipment management of personal property by government or commercial means. Examples of specialized experience include the following: 1) Assist with the determination of entitlements or procedures, related to temporary storage of goods, weight allowances, prohibited items, and shipment of unaccompanied baggage, privately owned vehicles, and household goods; 2) Assist with selecting carriers and arranging for the pickup, delivery, and storage of personal property; 3) Serve as the contact point for resolving problems related to shipment and delivery assignments and transportation service providers; and 4) Utilize automated information systems to input/correct a range of shipment information or track shipments.
