FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

Experience: You qualify for the GS 12 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Conducting facility operations, special projects, and/or utilization improvement studies as part of a team. Providing guidance on activities related to facilities maintenance and repair, including, but not limited to heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, evaporative cooling systems, emergency generators, plumbing lines, and pipe graded and electrical transformer loads. Performing analysis, facilitation, reporting, and providing recommendations for process improvements. Applying or modifying techniques involving repair, maintenance, and modification of equipment, facilities, facilities operations, or services. You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Conducting facility operations, special projects, and/or utilization improvement studies independently. Providing guidance on activities related to facilities maintenance and repair, including, but not limited to heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, evaporative cooling systems, emergency generators, plumbing lines, and pipe grades and electrical transformer loads, and providing support to other team members in related areas. Performing analysis, facilitation, reporting, and providing new recommendations for process improvements independently. Developing new techniques involving repair, maintenance, and modification of equipment, facilities, facilities operations, or services.
