GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education or training in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately; applying procedures and directives by reading and interpreting technical material; communicating clearly and effectively orally and in writing, using presentation and report formats; following directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures; assessing the surrounding environment to recognize immediate risk levels; education and validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade for one of the seven organizational program disciplines and its applicable Security Series career. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level which includes independently performing recurring assignments of limited, but gradually increasing, difficulty and complexity; performing developmental assignments of moderate difficulty where work procedures are established, and several specific guidelines exist; working with other specialists in planning and conducting special initiatives, studies, and projects; and preparing written correspondence and other documentation.
This position is for a SECURITY SPECIALIST, PD# D1276000, part of the Nevada Army National Guard. The primary purpose of the position is to serve as a Special Security Representative (SSR) in support of the Special Security Officer (SSO). Performs the day-to-day operational duties within the SCIF in support of all SCI-associated security programs and measures. Provides detailed research and analysis on physical, information, computer, and personnel security.
