Experience: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level or equivalent to at least GS-14 under other Federal service pay systems, private sector, or military. Examples of qualifying experience include: Establishes formalized procedures to track changes to supply chain process design. Develops and manages the Agency supply chain strategic plan. Develops performance standards; appraises work, giving advice and/or instructions, as required. Plans, assigns and evaluates work; sets and adjusts priorities. Recommends budget and staffing requirements for the organization to ensure that mission workload can be met. You will receive credit for all relevant qualifying experience (paid and unpaid), including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Additional Requirements that must be met by the closing date: Physical requirements: Office job involving typical demands of such. Job will require frequent travel by commercial or government air, automobile or other type of conveyance and the typical physical demands accompanying such travel. Time-in-grade applies to the promotion of current and former federal employees who hold or have held a permanent GS position in either the competitive or excepted service in the previous 52 weeks, including current employees applying under VEOA. Time after competitive appointment. Current federal civilian employees must have completed at least 90 days of federal civilian service since being selected for a non temporary appointment from a competitive examination register of eligibles (an announcement opened to the public) or under a direct hire authority. Serves as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist (Supply Chain Operations Manager). The Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist (Supply Chain Operations Manager) is responsible for maintaining process control over supply chain activities, driving continuous improvement, and integrating strategy with execution. Works closely with senior leaders and executives at HQ DeCA and subordinate commands, HQ staff, defense agencies, other services, and private industry.
