Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. CG-12: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CG-11 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as (1) Overseeing and/or coordinating personnel management and administrative program operations specifically related to at least three of the following areas: recruitment, staffing, travel, training, personnel/payroll operations, and facilities. (2) Utilizing automated systems to monitor and track administrative activities; AND (3) Communicating with employees and managers at all levels on administrative and/or personnel related policy updates or interpretations, research findings, and/or procedural inquiries. CG-13: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CG-12 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as (1) Overseeing and/or coordinating personnel management and administrative program operations specifically related to at least four of the following areas: recruitment, staffing, travel, training, personnel/payroll operations, and facilities. (2) Utilizing automated systems to monitor and track administrative activities and generate management reports; AND (3) Communicating with employees and managers at all levels on administrative and/or personnel related policy updates or interpretations, research findings, and/or procedural inquiries. This position is located in the Deputy to the Chairman & Chief Operating Officer (COO), Administrative Services Group (ASG) of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and provides administrative support to the divisions and offices within the COO organization.
