SUPERVISORY RECREATION SPECIALIST (ODR)

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: General knowledge of principles, concepts and techniques of recreation relating to the specific needs of the community to be served. Applicants must have experience which includes responsibility for one or more areas of outdoor recreation programs. Experience must have included responsibility for planning, programming, implementation and evaluation of programs to include staffing, logistical requirements, and budgeting. Must have excellent customer service skills or relative experience in handling customers. Must be proficient in the use of computer software (e.g. Microsoft Office).
About the position: This position will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation/ Recreational Lodging Facility. This is a regular full time position with benefits, and irregular tour of duty to include evenings, weekends and Holidays. This position works both indoors and outdoors year round. You must meet the minimum qualifications to be considered.
