In addition to the Basic Education Requirement (in the Education section below), to qualify for this position you must meet the requirements below. The specific qualifications and minimum education requirements are further described below and within the education section of the job announcement. To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level: Leading teams in the development of aerospace flight hardware, such as spacecraft, instruments, technologies, and systems for space-based applications, and performing technical management of contracted efforts; Developing project plans, evaluating program/project status, and resolving technical issues; and Collaborating with partners and stakeholders from internal and external organizations and participating in negotiations to achieve objectives. To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level: Managing aerospace flight engineering projects or programs and performing technical management of contracted efforts; Formulating projects, evaluating program/project status, and resolving technical issues; and Establishing relationships and partnerships with stakeholders from internal and external organizations, by performing negotiations to achieve objectives. Serves as a Project Manager within the Space Science Project Office of the Space Flight Systems Directorate leading an effort to develop a flight demonstration for Dynamic Conversion Technology. This role is responsible for meeting objectives of the project and supporting the office in efforts to develop and fulfill strategic objectives for the future of the technology. The project manager will work with an external customer and stakeholders, in addition to potential partner organizations.
