Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) engaging and partnering with senior leaders of academic institutions and organizations; (2) identifying significant challenges, developing approaches to solve problems, and executing approaches to accomplish these goals; (3) communicating effectively (orally and in writing) with a wide variety of stakeholders, partners, and organizational levels both within and outside the organization (i.e. academia, business, DoD, other Federal Agencies, etc.); and (4) working with emerging national security needs and associated Science and Technology programs and interested partners and stakeholders This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (at least GS-13 equivalent).
