Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: GS-12: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1. Providing technical advice to management on Civilian Human Resources programs. 2. Creating vacancy announcements to produce referral lists. 3. Reviewing past recruitment practices to advise on future staffing strategies. AND 4. Maintaining full visibility over all RPAs from start to finish to advise management in all stages of the recruitment process. This specialized experience is equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). GS-13: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1. Providing staffing advisory services for Civilian Senior Executive positions. 2. Assisting in developing short- and long-range staffing plans to meet forecasted mission requirements, human capital losses, and changes in critical competencies. AND 3. Performing special studies to makes recommendations for resolving problems and policy issues. This specialized experience is equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). About the Position: Serves as a Human Resources Specialist within the Civilian Senior Leader Management Office (CSLMO) responsible for providing technical advice and assistance in various civilian HR program areas to senior level management officials within Department of the Army on all matters dealing with the classification, staffing, pay setting, processing of personnel actions, and benefits and entitlements of serviced population.
