To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Your resume must demonstrate one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Experience in an optometry or ophthalmology office independently preparing patients for examination by performing entrance tests including autorefraction and lensometry; gathering ocular and medical history; performing other tests as needed such as Humphrey visual field testing, optical coherence tomography (OCT), and retinal photography to assist with glaucoma management or other diseases; administering proper use of pharmacological agents, diagnosis, prognosis, eye wear use and adaption and contact lens education. ***Certificates will be issued every 10 days until the position is filled and the location will be removed from the job announcement. This position is located in the Optometry Clinic at the Uintah-Ouray Service Unit within the Phoenix Area Indian Health Service (IHS). This position is located in Fort Duchesne, Utah.
