Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Do you have the ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision WG-10 Ability to assist journey-level pipefitters with the assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems. Ability to learn the proper use of tools and shop equipment associated with the pipefitting trade. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, instructions, and technical specifications to successfully complete assigned tasks. Ability to possess detailed knowledge of equipment, components, and materials related to pipefitting operations. Ability to fabricate piping system assemblies by cutting, bending, brazing, and beveling materials as required. WG-08 Ability to prepare equipment and components for installation in compliance with safety and technical standards. Ability to apply technical knowledge in the repair and installation of piping systems. Ability to use various pipefitting tools, such as grinders, brazing torches, measuring instruments, and hydraulic pipe benders, to accomplish assigned tasks. Ability to assist in troubleshooting, repairing, adjusting, and installing tank level indicators under the supervision of journey-level pipefitters. Ability to maintain, repair, and test submarine piping systems and components, ensuring operational functionality and compliance with specifications.
