SUPERVISORY GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-09 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating extensive knowledge of and experience with a specialized supply operations or management programs that includes inventory, packaging and crating, supporting requirements, storing/distributing, or cataloging. I have independently analyzed and resolved difficult issues and problems involving supply processes, work methods, supply data management, and day-to-day supply operations procedures as required. I also have at least one year of experience performing leadership functions for supply specialists such as assigning and reviewing work of subordinates and providing training as needed. Examples of specialized experience may include: 1) Ensuring shipments comply with Federal, State and local directives regarding packing, marking, labeling and certification prior to shipment; 2) Screening and initiating specialized shipments of classified and/or hazardous materials taking into consideration the proper transportation on protective services and/or hazardous material identification information on shipping papers; 3) Performing quality control checks of physical inventory counts, adjustments and reversals, and identify discrepancies in the inventory/Prepares annual physical inventories and location audits; 4) Reviewing physical inventory processes and makes recommendations for improvements, and develop processes, procedures and policies; and 5) Utilizing word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software to prepare reports, inventory schedule, charts and other briefing documents; 5) Knowledge and skill in the use of N-ERP and NALCOMIS; 6) Knowledgeable of Consolidated Mail, U.S. Postal and guard mail procedures.
