To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements. Basic Requirements: A graduate or higher level degree that included: A physical therapy curriculum approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP) or a professional accrediting organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained; AND Completion of the clinical requirements prescribed by the school. AND Licensure: Applicants must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physical Therapist from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States; and must have passed the National Physical Therapy Examination administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT) NOTE: ALL applicants MUST electronically upload proof of current, active and unrestricted license for verification at the time you apply. AND Education: Two (2) years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master’s degree or master’s or equivalent graduate degree. OR Experience: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level in federal service. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position, and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled. Some examples of this qualifying experience are: Knowledge of current, evidence-based theories, principles, practices, and procedures applied in providing a diverse range of physical therapy. Knowledge of the techniques and instrumentation used to collect, organize record and communicate clinical findings relevant to patient examinations, evaluations, diagnosis, prognosis, and outcomes of treatment interventions. Experience in performing diagnostic tests and measurements, interpreting results, planning, implementing and administering treatments utilizing various accepted modalities including therapeutic exercise, massage, and physical agents. OR Combination of Education and Experience: Have a combination of education and experience. This experience must have equipped you with the qualifications to perform the major duties of this position as described above. If applicable, credit will be given for paid and unpaid experience.
