MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Assessing traffic conditions and hazards locally and over long distance routes;2) Using safety rules and regulations to operate vehicles such as, semi-tractor-trailers, heavy duty flatbed trucks, heavy fuel tank trucks, heavy straight in-line trucks, heavy duty tow trucks, heavy vacuum trucks, crane trucks, heavy duty waste disposal/trash collection trucks and vehicles weighing more than 32,000 pounds;3) Selecting routes based on hazardous conditions and laws restricting use of roads based on size of trucks. You will serve as a Motor Vehicle Operator in the Transportation Department, Operations Division of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.
