If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. The salary shown in this announcement includes locality pay. To view current locality rates, visit – https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/pay-leave/salaries-wages/2024/general-schedule/ Individual Occupational Requirements: Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study – accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, nautical science, marine affairs, marine engineering, marine transportation, or other fields related to the position. Or Specialized Experience: Experience in managing program and financial areas and ensuring that there is financial management/stability within the Fleet Zone. This experience should include experience with: Conduct routine analysis to determine what steps can be taken to reduce and/or control costs and expenditures and make recommendations for actions. Provide technical guidance, direction, and coordination of fleet management programs, policies, and initiatives to ensure that the Zone achieves performance metrics and Fleet goals. Evaluates, analyzes and forecasts Evaluating, analyzing, and forcasting expenditures for budgetary trends and establishes cost projections as needed. Manage program data and support areas and utilizes technical and analytical knowledge/skills to make making determinations/recommendations based on data analysis. Serves as the primary zonal contact with the Human Resource Division. In addition to meeting the Individual Occupational Requirements: To qualify at the GS-13, you must possess one of the following: To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service. OR A Master’s degree or equivalent graduate degree OR have completed two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, with a major in accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, nautical science, or other fields related to the position. OR Combination of graduate level education and appropriate experience that together meet the qualification requirements of this position.
