To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level: Reviewing or performing technical work on aircraft and aircraft systems related to aircraft quality assurance, maintenance, or logistics; Applying technical requirements, technical orders, or FAA regulations pertaining to maintenance, modification, testing, or operation of aircraft and systems; Ensuring compliance with federal aircraft safety requirements and mandates (e.g., U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy). As a Quality Assurance Specialist (Aerospace) with the Aircraft Operations Division, Aircraft Maintenance and Quality Branch, Quality Assurance Team, you will be responsible for process efficiency auditing, contract evaluations, Government Mandatory Inspection Point evolutions, understanding NASA policies and procedures as they relate to aircraft operations and contract management, facility manager duties, and flight crew operations.
