Required Qualifications: Applicants must possess a J.D. Degree, be an active member of the bar (any U.S. jurisdiction), and have at least 3* year post-J.D. legal or other relevant experience. Other relevant experience should include superior oral and written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills, exhibit good judgment and function with minimal guidance in a highly demanding environment. Applicants should also have strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to work in a supportive and professional manner with the court, other attorneys, support staff, and client agencies, as well as the demonstrated capacity to function with minimal guidance in a highly demanding environment. United States citizenship is required. Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have extensive litigation experience in complex jury trials. The ideal candidate will have successfully defended mixed Title VII, FTCA, condemnation/eminent domain, environmental, and civil health care fraud cases. Because the applicant will handle affirmative, defensive, and parallel proceedings/cases, the ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in civil practice, procedure, and contested litigation and mediation. Additionally, because the applicant may handle criminal and civil asset forfeiture cases, the ideal candidate will possess some federal, criminal prosecutorial experience. The ideal candidate must possess quick analytical ability and the facility to accurately and precisely articulate the critical issues in a case. The ideal candidate should also have well developed computer skills in automated research, electronic court filing, electronic e-mail, and word processing systems and software.
