Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Performing capability development functions in support of developing Doctrine Developments, and Training Support requirements across Doctrine, Training, Leadership, Organization, Materiel, and Personnel and facilities(DTLOMPF) capabilities and associated products from concepts, requirements, technology development, operation and sustainment of the U.S. Army Aviation capabilities; 2) Providing executive level advisory, technical, and strategic guidance on the doctrine, tactics, organization and operation of Aviation weapons, platforms target acquisition, command and control, and communication systems; 3) Making decisions or recommendations significantly changing, interpreting, or developing important U.S. Army Aviation workforce policies and programs; 4) Presenting and influencing top level decision-making and supporting and defending decisions to Army stakeholders, and Defense partners; and 5) Developing and executing strategic plans that present unique or adaptive solutions targeted toward the Aviation concepts and Experiments workforce community. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DB-3/GS-14) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Accountability Managing Human Resources Oral Communication Planning and Evaluating Strategic Thinking
About the Position: This position serves as Director, Aviation Concepts, Experimentation and Analysis Directorate DE-0301-04 in Army Futures Command (AFC), Futures and Concept Center, Aviation CDID Concepts Division located at Ft Novosel Alabama, home of the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence. Fort Novosel is located in the “Wiregrass” area in Southeast Alabama, surrounded by Enterprise, Ozark and Daleville. The geography and climate are ideal for year round military training.
