Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have responsible experience in clerical, office, cash handling or retail sales store work of any kind which demonstrates the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position. Experience must demonstrate knowledge of proper cash handling procedures, the ability to resolve common arithmetic problems used when receiving payment from customers, and the ability to operate a cash register. Must be able to read, speak, and write English. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Successful completion of a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) is required.
About the position: This position will be assigned to the Golf Course on Joint Base Andrews, Maryland. Performs over-the-counter selling of a variety of merchandise which may include but is not limited to the following: jewelry, footwear, clothing, photographic equipment, sporting goods, electronics, novelty gifts, and other miscellaneous items. This is a flexible position with no benefits.
