To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 11/29/2024. You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below: Generalized Experience: One (1) full year of generalized experience that equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties the Program Support Assistant at the full performance level (GS-5), and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, generalized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-4) in the Federal service. Generalized experience includes: experience where you were responsible for providing administrative support; collecting, compiling and tracking data and information; processing documents and reports; establishing, updating and maintaining office files and records; performing automation duties using such software applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, electronic mail, desktop publishing, calendar, database and/or graphics; answering telephones, referring visitors, and providing information. NOTE: Experience must be fully documented on your resume and must include job title, duties, month and year start/end dates AND hours worked per week.. OR, Education: Successfully completed four (4) years of education above the high school level in any field which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. OR, Combination: Equivalent combination of successfully completed post-high school education (beyond the second year) and specialized experience as described above, which meet the total experience requirements for this grade level. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment. Physical Requirements: The work may involve occasional travel. The work is sedentary. Typically, the position sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items such as papers, books or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work. May be required to wear personal protective equipment if applicable. The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms. The work area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated. Work will be conducted in a safe manner adhering to Medical Center safety policies. Occasional travel is necessary. The Program Support Assistant -Whole Health Program Assistant provides Project Coordinator support at the local facility level for the national evaluation of the Whole Health Demonstration project. The position will assist and carry out work for various projects on the utilization, costs, tracking and outcomes of the implementation of the Whole Health System.
