BASIC REQUIREMENT(S): General Schedule Qualification Standards In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: GS-05: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-04 grade level or 4 years education above high school. GS-06: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level. GS-07: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level. GS-08: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level. Specialized Experience: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA’s) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Examples of Specialized Experience: GS-05: Assist individuals in completing forms, provide information to the public, conduct personal or telephone interviews by utilizing screening and interviewing methods, verify patient eligibility for benefits, review claims and review records; establish and maintain contact with internal/external entities, local and regional agencies, programs and offices in order to obtain relevant information. GS-06: Assist individuals in completing forms, provide information to the public, conduct personal or telephone interviews by utilizing screening and interviewing methods, verify patient eligibility for benefits, review claims and review records; establish and maintain contact with internal/external entities, local and regional agencies, programs and offices in order to obtain relevant information; monitor pending actions. GS-07: Assist individuals in completing forms, provide information to the public, conduct personal or telephone interviews by utilizing screening and interviewing methods, verify patient eligibility for benefits, review claims, review records, establish and maintain contact with internal/external entities, local and regional agencies, programs and offices in order to obtain relevant information; monitor pending actions, interpret and explain rules and regulations for a variety of alternate resources. This position is located in the Business Office (BO) at Crow Service Unit in Crow Agency, MT. The primary purpose of this position is to function as the Alternate Resources Benefits Coordinator, assuring the identification of patients who are eligible for alternate resources.
