Warehouse Associate

Dallas, TX

Pay: $22.82 - $23.29/hour

Pay note: Additional $1/hour night shift differential when working 2nd shift hours

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 3:15 PM to 1:45 AM, 4-day 10-hour work week, with overtime and occasional weekends as needed

Role overview

You’ll support warehouse operations across receiving, order picking, packing, shipping, inventory counting, equipment operation, and general warehouse upkeep while rotating through multiple work areas as needed.

Work you’ll rotate through

  • Receive, pick, pack, wrap, crate, label, and ship large and small materials.
  • Operate forklifts and other material transport equipment such as cranes, tuggers, and pallet jacks.
  • Load and unload trucks using forklifts or pallet jacks.
  • Count parts and assist with inventory audits and cycle counts.
  • Use ORACLE and other PC or web applications to review, enter, and update data.
  • Generate shipping labels, packing slips, and related documents.
  • Verify shipping and packing accuracy.
  • Help prevent material loss or damage.
  • Complete general warehouse housekeeping.
  • Read pick tickets, packing instructions, safety alerts, drawings, and related communications.
  • Work with warehouse associates and support staff to improve warehouse processes.
  • Follow integrity, safety, and quality standards.

Experience and readiness

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of manufacturing and warehouse experience desired.
  • Prior forklift driving experience and forklift certification desired.
  • ERP system experience such as ORACLE or SAP desired.
  • Computer literacy required.
  • Ability to read and interpret operating procedures, quality documents, safety documents, and job-critical information.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Safety-focused work style.
  • Manual dexterity to use hand tools.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

Workplace requirements

  • Must wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoes.
  • Additional PPE may be required depending on task or environment.
  • Must be willing to work in a tobacco-free environment.
  • Must be willing to complete drug testing, physical testing, background check, and random drug testing as required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Every employee acts as an in-process inspector.

Physical demands

  • Ability to complete some work at heights up to 20 feet.
  • Ability to climb and complete some work on ladders.
  • Ability to lift materials up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to properly use and care for assigned tools and equipment.
