Warehouse Associate

Employment type: Full-time, fixed-term 90-day contract

Pay: $18/hour

Schedule: Full-time scheduled shift work, schedule and shift confirmed at hire

Role overview

You’ll support distribution center operations by handling shipping, receiving, inventory updates, asset records, cycle counts, and general warehouse tasks during a fixed 90-day assignment.

What you’ll do

• Prepare outbound shipments, including packing, labeling, and staging products or equipment for carrier pickup.
• Select proper packaging materials and shipping methods based on item type, destination, and client requirements.
• Generate shipping labels and paperwork accurately.
• Confirm shipments against pick lists or orders before they leave the facility.
• Coordinate pickup timing with carriers.
• Keep the outbound staging area clean and organized.
• Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against packing slips or purchase orders.
• Report discrepancies or damage.
• Unpack, inspect, and stage received items for put-away.
• Log new assets and inventory into the appropriate system.

Inventory and records

• Update asset details, including location, status, assignment, and condition.
• Perform routine cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
• Reconcile counts against system records.
• Flag missing, damaged, or aging inventory and assets for follow-up.
• Maintain organized and correctly labeled storage areas.
• Keep accurate records of shipping, receiving, and inventory activity for audit purposes.

Requirements

• Prior shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred, but not required.
• On-the-job training provided.
• Basic computer skills for inventory or asset management systems.
• Reliable and punctual work style.
• Ability to follow documented procedures with minimal supervision after training.
• Strong attention to detail, especially with counts, labels, and asset records.
• No travel required.
• Work visa sponsorship is not provided.

Physical and work environment

• Ability to lift and move boxes and equipment up to approximately 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout a shift.
• Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, dust, and noise.
