Position summary
You’ll support patient success operations by helping patients with scheduling, onboarding, follow-ups, documentation, care coordination, and administrative workflows in a digital health environment.
Patient support work
- Respond to patient inquiries by phone and messaging platforms.
- Provide clear, accurate, timely, and compassionate patient support.
- Assist with scheduling, rescheduling, and patient onboarding.
- Support patient retention and outreach through reminders, follow-ups, and proactive check-ins.
- Document patient interactions accurately for follow-up, case tracking, and continuity of support.
- Work with team members to resolve patient concerns quickly and effectively.
- Share recurring patient issues to help improve workflows and service quality.
Care coordination tasks
- Coordinate and track clinical and administrative workflows.
- Support prior authorization workflows by collecting information, tracking status, and escalating as needed.
- Triage prescription and refill coordination requests and route them to the clinical team.
- Handle intake, routing, tracking, and follow-up for paperwork and documentation requests.
- Support general administrative tasks and patient coordination across internal teams.
- Partner with clinical teams while staying within a non-clinical support role.
Requirements
- 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.
- Proficient spoken and written English.
- Calm, empathetic approach when supporting patients in sensitive situations.
- Strong organization, follow-through, and documentation habits.
- Ability to manage multiple conversations without missing details.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Ability to learn new processes and stay current as workflows change.
- Comfort using tools such as Dialpad, Slack, Healthie, or similar platforms.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection required.
Preferred background
- 2+ years in a patient-facing support role.
- Behavioral health, digital health, telehealth, nursing admin, pharmacy, insurance, or similar experience preferred.
- Telehealth or call center experience highly preferred.
- Familiarity with healthcare workflows such as scheduling, insurance, pharmacies, and documentation.
- Clinical background such as MA, CNA, nursing exposure, behavioral health, or pharmacy is a plus, but not required.
