About the Role
This opportunity is for a Data Analyst who will build trusted data models, define business-critical metrics, and deliver actionable insights across Growth, Finance, Product, and other business functions. The role combines hands-on analytics with ownership of reusable datasets, reporting, metric definitions, and data quality to create a dependable foundation for decision-making.
The position requires advanced SQL, experience with cloud data warehouses and BI platforms, and the ability to turn ambiguous stakeholder questions into clear analytical deliverables. The analyst will also improve metric governance, documentation, self-service analytics, and reporting reliability while using the resulting data foundation to uncover meaningful business insights.
What You'll Do
- Design and own business-critical metrics, including definitions, edge cases, and supporting documentation.
- Build clean, reusable SQL models in the transformation layer that serve as trusted source-of-truth datasets.
- Partner with business stakeholders to turn ambiguous questions into clearly defined analytical deliverables.
- Create self-service datasets and lightweight reporting that allow teams to answer recurring questions without unnecessary analytical bottlenecks.
- Improve data reliability through sanity checks, reconciliations, and available data quality monitoring practices.
- Strengthen analytics best practices through consistent naming conventions, documentation, and metric governance.
- Use trusted data models and metrics to generate actionable insights for business stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- 5–6 years of professional experience in analytics, data analysis, analytics engineering, or closely related work.
- Experience working with a cloud data warehouse such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or a comparable platform.
- Experience using business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms.
Required Skills
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to model data cleanly, account for edge cases, optimize queries, and clearly explain analytical logic.
- Ability to define meaningful business metrics and push for clarity around the decisions those metrics are intended to support.
- Ability to translate loosely defined stakeholder questions into structured analytical work and reusable data deliverables.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with non-technical stakeholders and produce clear documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with dbt or similar data transformation tooling.
- Familiarity with experimentation, funnel analysis, retention analysis, and attribution.
- Basic Python skills for data analysis.
- Experience with data quality tooling or monitoring.
