Warehouse Associate

Employment type: Full-time

Pay: $18 - $20/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shift, at least 40 hours per week

Travel: Travel to company locations required 3 days per week

Position summary

You’ll support warehouse, inventory, shipping, receiving, and delivery operations by moving and staging materials, maintaining records, operating warehouse equipment, preparing orders, and transporting products between customers and company locations.

Warehouse and inventory duties

• Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine materials to be moved or distributed.
• Move materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated locations.
• Use pick lists to pull and stage materials before scheduled order dates.
• Prepare weekly transfer orders and required shipping paperwork.
• Load and unload materials from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves.
• Receive and put away transferred materials.
• Report inventory discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Maintain inventory records using computer systems.
• Prepare worksheets, tickets, order forms, and related documentation.
• Maintain stock areas, labels, shelf organization, and overflow locations.

Driving and equipment

• Drive a company vehicle to deliver materials to customers or retrieve materials from other company locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Submit vehicle inspection reports to the supervisor.
• Operate a forklift and hand truck to move and handle shipments.
• Pull a goose-neck trailer as required.

Additional responsibilities

• Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other locations.
• Record sales and delivery information.
• Provide backup support for phone inquiries and counter sales.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and appearance.
• Perform sweeping, mopping, dusting, restroom cleaning, lawn care, and other assigned janitorial duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of warehouse experience required.
• 1 to 3 years of forklift driving experience preferred.
• Customer service experience required.
• Basic computer skills.
• English language proficiency required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to commute to Schertz, TX.
• Ability to travel to company locations 3 days per week.
• Ability to pull a goose-neck trailer.
• Must pass background screening, drug screening, and motor vehicle record check.

Physical requirements

• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Ability to perform active warehouse, loading, unloading, driving, and facility maintenance work.
