About the Role

The Senior Project Manager leads global clinical research projects and programs, with primary responsibility for delivering project work to defined quality standards, on time and within budget. The role manages medium-sized projects spanning 5–15 countries or providing full services, as well as large full-service projects spanning more than 15 countries, under general supervision.

This position leads project teams, oversees smaller projects, and serves as the primary escalation contact for customers, vendors, project teams, and other functional areas. It also includes mentoring project management colleagues, contributing to feasibility research and business development, and applying established practices and departmental procedures.

What You'll Do

• Manage medium-sized and large global projects or programs, overseeing deliverables against agreed quality standards, timelines, and budgets.
• Lead project teams and supervise small projects or programs involving fewer than 5 countries or limited services.
• Oversee the production of project deliverables and maintain a service-focused approach in customer interactions.
• Serve as the primary escalation contact for customers, vendors, project teams, and representatives of other functional areas on project-related issues.
• Train, mentor, and coach Regional Project Leads and Project Managers.
• Participate in clinical research feasibility work.
• Support proposal development, client presentations, bid defense meetings, and other business development activities.
• Apply established company practices and comply with departmental procedures.

Qualifications

Required Experience

• At least 7 years of industry experience in clinical research.
• At least 4 years of global, project-level clinical project management experience, covering all project phases from startup through closure.
• Experience managing global projects.

Required Skills

• Ability to manage functional services and vendors throughout a clinical project.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in gastroenterology is preferred.
• Experience in oncology or radiopharmaceuticals is a plus.
