Material handling duties

You’ll support shipping, receiving, production, and inventory operations by operating a forklift, moving materials, preparing production jobs, documenting shipments, and maintaining an organized warehouse.

What you’ll do

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Operate wrapping equipment when needed.
• Keep stock and materials organized.
• Document materials unloaded from trucks.
• Pull materials and jobs for production.
• Handle inbound forms, inventory tags, and material counts.
• Support shipping and receiving operations.
• Assist other material handlers with workload and warehouse organization.
• Perform general warehouse cleaning.
• Inspect incoming materials for visible defects.
• Report missing, damaged, bent, or worn forklift parts.
• Follow all safety procedures, work rules, and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 6 months of previous forklift operating experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required forklift certification.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime on short notice, including weekdays and weekends.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with seasonal temperature changes, machinery, and heavy forklift traffic.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple requests.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
