Design focus

You’ll create visual communications for federal clients, translating complex, technical, or sensitive information into clear, accessible, and brand-consistent materials for print, digital, web, and social media channels.

What you’ll create

  • Design infographics, presentations, publications, brochures, fact sheets, posters, social media graphics, digital signage, and other outreach materials.
  • Translate complex information into clear and visually engaging content for diverse audiences.
  • Create and refine designs using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and other industry-standard tools.
  • Maintain visual and brand consistency across deliverables.
  • Ensure designed materials meet Section 508 accessibility requirements.
  • Remediate accessibility issues when needed.
  • Incorporate client and stakeholder feedback into final designs.
  • Support additional creative work such as event materials, exhibit graphics, motion graphics, video, and digital asset management when assigned.

Project and client work

  • Collaborate with communications, program, and technical teams to gather requirements and creative direction.
  • Translate key messages into finished visual products.
  • Prepare client-ready materials for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Manage multiple projects and competing deadlines simultaneously.
  • Deliver revisions and final materials within established timelines.

Required qualifications

  • 4 years of professional graphic design experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Communications, or a related field.
  • Portfolio of work samples required.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, or equivalent design software.
  • Understanding of Section 508 accessibility guidelines and standards.
  • Experience translating complex information into clear visual communications.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and tight deadlines.
  • Experience supporting complex federal government projects.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance or higher clearance when required.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
