About the Role
This opportunity is for an IT Administrator to manage internal technology operations, including company devices, SaaS applications, employee access, technical support, and IT assets. The role combines hands-on troubleshooting with building scalable, documented processes for onboarding, offboarding, device management, and application administration.
Working closely with a Senior Security Engineer, the position implements daily administrative controls that support security, privacy, and compliance in a telehealth environment. Key responsibilities include Google Workspace administration, MDM deployment, technology migrations, and support for employees and contractors. The role requires an organized, autonomous approach to maintaining reliable systems and improving IT operations as the organization grows.
What You'll Do
IT Systems & SaaS Administration- Administer organization-wide technology platforms, including Google Workspace, Anthropic, and other SaaS applications.
- Manage user accounts, groups, permissions, licenses, application configurations, and administrative settings.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of applications, administrators, licenses, users, and system owners.
- Work with business teams to evaluate, configure, implement, and support new software and technology solutions.
- Monitor SaaS usage and licensing to identify applications that can be consolidated, removed, or optimized.
- Document IT systems, configurations, administrative processes, and recurring procedures.
- Manage IT provisioning and deprovisioning for employee and contractor onboarding, offboarding, and role changes.
- Assign system and application access according to individual roles and responsibilities.
- Implement access changes and administrative controls in coordination with the Senior Security Engineer and organizational leadership.
- Maintain accurate records of system access, administrative privileges, and company-issued technology.
- Support recurring access reviews and promptly resolve identified access issues.
- Develop scalable onboarding and offboarding processes that provide necessary technology and access while protecting systems and data.
- Manage the lifecycle of company-issued laptops and other equipment, including purchasing, imaging, configuration, deployment, inventory, support, recovery, and replacement.
- Implement and administer mobile device management (MDM) and endpoint-management platforms.
- Maintain device configuration standards and consistently deploy required applications, updates, and administrative controls.
- Coordinate equipment shipping and retrieval for a fully remote workforce.
- Keep device inventories and ownership records accurate and current.
- Work with the Senior Security Engineer to implement endpoint security requirements and resolve device-related security issues.
- Act as the primary contact for internal technical support.
- Diagnose and resolve issues involving devices, applications, accounts, permissions, connectivity, and other workplace technology.
- Establish an organized process for receiving, prioritizing, tracking, and resolving IT requests.
- Identify recurring issues and implement lasting improvements to reduce repeated problems.
- Create clear employee documentation and self-service resources for common technology needs.
- Provide responsive, thoughtful support to employees working remotely.
- Support and maintain internal technology and data infrastructure.
- Administer file storage, sharing, permissions, and collaboration systems.
- Lead technology migrations and implementations as business requirements evolve.
- Maintain backup, recovery, retention, and administrative processes for company-managed systems in partnership with Security and other stakeholders.
- Identify operational risks, gaps, and inefficiencies in the technology environment and recommend improvements.
- Partner with the Senior Security Engineer to maintain a secure, compliant technology environment.
- Implement and maintain IT controls defined by security and compliance programs, including identity, access, endpoint, and device-management requirements.
- Support access reviews, audits, evidence collection, incident response, and recurring security and compliance activities.
- Promptly escalate suspected security incidents, vulnerabilities, inappropriate access, and other technology risks.
- Help ensure approved applications and devices are configured and used according to organizational policies.
- Support controls for company-approved AI tools and other emerging technologies.
- Help lead completion of the OneDrive-to-Google Drive migration, including departmental files, permissions, ownership, and employee transition.
- Implement and deploy a company-wide MDM solution and establish ongoing processes for device configuration, inventory, security, maintenance, and recovery.
- Assess the existing SaaS and IT environment and create a centralized inventory of applications, licenses, administrators, system owners, and access.
- Standardize IT onboarding and offboarding for employees and contractors.
- Establish a scalable internal IT support process covering documentation, request tracking, prioritization, and employee self-service resources.
- Support Zendesk administration and technical integrations, including AI-related integrations, as business ownership requires.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- 3–5+ years of experience in IT administration, systems administration, corporate IT, or a similar role.
- Experience supporting a distributed or fully remote workforce.
- Hands-on experience administering Google Workspace in a business environment.
- Experience administering SaaS applications and managing organizational user accounts, permissions, groups, and licenses.
- Experience implementing or administering MDM and endpoint-management platforms.
- Experience managing IT onboarding and offboarding for employees.
- Experience managing company hardware, asset inventories, device deployment, and remote equipment logistics.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of identity and access management fundamentals, including SSO, MFA, least-privilege access, and account lifecycle management.
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities across devices, operating systems, SaaS applications, accounts, permissions, and connectivity.
- Strong documentation and process-development skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and prioritize competing needs in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly when supporting non-technical employees.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare, telehealth, or another regulated environment.
- Familiarity with HIPAA and technology controls used to protect PHI.
- Experience implementing or improving IT operations at a growing startup.
- Experience with Google Workspace migrations, particularly from Microsoft 365/OneDrive to Google Workspace/Drive.
- Experience selecting, implementing, or migrating MDM platforms.
- Familiarity with security tools, endpoint protection, access reviews, audit evidence collection, and incident-response processes.
- Experience administering Zendesk or similar support platforms.
- Familiarity with enterprise administration of AI tools and emerging SaaS technologies.
