This role oversees the development of HR systems, employee onboarding, performance management, recruiting processes, and organizational culture while establishing measurable, auditable HR workflows.
The position combines executive-level HR strategy with hands-on operational execution in a healthcare startup environment. Key responsibilities include partnering with executive leadership, hiring managers, and supervisors to recruit high-performing employees, improve workforce management, and support a distributed workforce that includes corporate employees and frontline Community Health Workers (CHWs) delivering services in homes and communities.
What You'll Do
- Build and strengthen HR infrastructure, including Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), employee handbooks, onboarding programs, and performance management processes to support rapid organizational growth over the next five years.
- Develop scalable, automated, and auditable HR processes across recruiting, hiring, employee onboarding, and performance reviews.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for HR workflows to measure process effectiveness, maintain accountability, and support operational scalability.
- Partner directly with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, source qualified candidates, conduct initial candidate screening, and maintain high standards throughout the hiring process.
- Apply a problem-solving approach to talent acquisition, identifying the capabilities required for each position and evaluating candidates against those needs.
- Support the development and preservation of organizational culture as headcount increases, including employee engagement activities, company retreats, and other culture-building initiatives.
- Work closely with supervisors to support workforce management across corporate employees and frontline Community Health Workers operating in home-based and community settings.
- Provide HR leadership and practical guidance on employee-related issues, exercising sound judgment and involving legal expertise when appropriate.
