About the Role
This opportunity is for a Director, Solutions Onboarding to lead a team responsible for helping customers successfully learn and use a clinical development software platform. The role is focused on customer training, onboarding, enablement, and hands-on education that helps users become confident and self-sufficient.
The Director, Solutions Onboarding will use a strong clinical research and drug development background to understand customer workflows, translate those workflows into effective training experiences, and ensure end users can apply the platform independently across clinical development activities.
This role will manage onboarding specialists, solutions managers, and data associates who support platform training, customer adoption, and accurate configuration of clinical content. Periodic travel may be required for team meetings, company meetings, and customer trainings or workshops when requested by customers.

Compensation: $89.90 - $98.56 per hour
What You’ll Do
- Lead customer onboarding and platform training efforts focused on helping end users become self-sufficient and confident using the software.
- Use deep knowledge of clinical development, from protocol design and development through trial execution, to make training sessions relevant to real customer workflows.
- Deliver training that resonates with customer end users across different therapeutic areas, study designs, and clinical development use cases.
- Lead workshops with customer user groups, including Clinical Scientists, Clinical Operations teams, Data Management teams, and Medical Writers.
- Focus customer workshops on practical end-user training that enables customers to independently use the platform in their daily work.
- Develop, improve, and maintain training materials and self-service resources based on how customers use the software.
- Create customer enablement materials such as user guides, how-to videos, quick reference cards, FAQ documents, and other externally facing training resources.
- Partner with the Product Experience team to keep training and enablement materials consistent across customer-facing resources.
- Beta test new platform features from the end-user perspective.
- Provide structured feedback to the Product team to help inform the product roadmap.
- Use professional clinical trial experience to evaluate new features in the context of real-world clinical workflows and customer needs.
- Manage and develop a team of Solutions Onboarding Specialists and Managers responsible for platform training, customer onboarding, and adoption support.
- Manage and support Data Associates who help ensure accurate configuration and labeling of clinical content within the platform.
- Help triage escalations and support issue resolution with strong attention to detail and a practical understanding of customer needs.
- Maintain a professional, positive, and customer-focused approach in training sessions, workshops, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Travel periodically for team meetings, company meetings, and customer-site trainings or workshops as requested by customers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in physical science, life science, statistics, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in clinical research or drug development.
- Strong protocol-level knowledge with the ability to understand and contextualize customer workflows.
- Prior experience as a Clinical Scientist, Clinical Program Manager, Study Manager, CRA, CTM, or Data Manager at a sponsor, CRO, or clinical site is preferred.
- Experience designing or delivering clinical training programs or user enablement initiatives.
- Familiarity with instructional design principles is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to create external-facing end-user system training materials, including user guides, how-to videos, quick reference cards, FAQ documents, and similar resources.
- Experience directly training end users on software platforms.
- 5+ years of experience managing teams.
- Familiarity with clinical trial technologies such as EDC, IRT, CTMS, ePRO, eCOA, eConsent, and TMF.
- Working knowledge of regulatory requirements sufficient to understand and contextualize customer workflows during training.
