Material handler

Pay: ~ $18.00/hour

Role overview

You’ll support production operations by handling incoming and outgoing materials, maintaining inventory availability, processing returns, supporting customer orders, and helping keep material flow accurate and efficient.

What you’ll do

• Handle incoming and outgoing materials to support production needs.
• Resolve exceptions related to incoming material processing.
• Process customer returns using business software.
• Work with other departments to resolve return or material issues.
• Monitor production needs and help ensure inventory is available when needed.
• Support customer needs by maintaining orders and expediting incoming orders.
• Coordinate cycle counting and help maintain count accuracy.
• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Complete other assigned duties as needed.

What you’ll need

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous material handling experience preferred.
• Ability to safely and efficiently operate a forklift.
• Computer skills, including Excel and SAP.
• Fluency in English and the primary language used in the work area.

Physical and work environment

• Ability to lift light materials regularly.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move 25 to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push, pull, bend, kneel, twist, crawl, and reach during an 8 to 12-hour shift.
• Ability to operate motorized vehicles during an 8 to 12-hour shift.
• Ability to stand and walk constantly during an 8 to 12-hour shift.
• Hearing protection is required due to noise exposure during the shift.
