Warehouse Worker (Evening)

Role overview

You’ll support seafood warehouse operations by rotating inventory, processing fresh fish, selecting products from pick tickets, staging customer orders, replenishing stock, and maintaining a clean work area.

What you’ll do

  • Ensure incoming seafood is properly rotated into stock.
  • Help maintain steady production flow to meet daily requirements.
  • Read production schedules and customer orders to determine items to process, move, gather, or distribute.
  • Move materials from stocked locations to production, storage, or other designated areas using an electric pallet jack.
  • Lift seafood onto tables for processing.
  • Use an electric scaling machine to scale fish.
  • Sort and place items on racks, shelves, or bins by size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Fill requisitions, work orders, and requests for stock items.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place them on pallets or shelves.
  • Move orders to packing or shipping areas for shipment preparation.
  • Mark and label items with identifying information.
  • Open boxes, crates, and other containers.
  • Record amounts of items distributed.
  • Weigh or count items for distribution to ensure company standards are met.
  • Compile worksheets or tickets based on customer specifications.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse and work area.

What you’ll need

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2 to 3 years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to follow production schedules, customer orders, and warehouse procedures.
  • Ability to work safely in a refrigerated seafood warehouse environment.

Physical and work environment

  • Ability to work in refrigerated rooms at 30 to 36 degrees.
  • Ability to stand for long periods while operating equipment.
  • Ability to lift 15 to 20 pounds consistently.
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Use of electric pallet jacks and seafood processing equipment.
