About the Role
This opportunity is for an experienced digital fundraising professional who can combine strategic leadership with hands-on campaign execution. The Senior Digital Program Manager will lead digital fundraising, advocacy, and engagement programs for nonprofit clients while managing complex initiatives, strengthening client relationships, and mentoring other program management professionals.
The role involves overseeing digital strategies across email, paid media, donation experiences, and web-based engagement. Success requires strong strategic judgment, detailed project management, confident client communication, and the ability to translate campaign performance data into clear recommendations.
What You’ll Do
Strategy and Program Leadership
- Manage multiple client accounts and oversee digital fundraising, advocacy, and engagement programs
- Lead strategies across email, paid media, donation experiences, and other web-based channels
- Develop campaign strategies, creative direction, budgets, and production schedules
- Create programs designed to increase fundraising revenue, audience engagement, and campaign performance
- Present strategic recommendations, creative concepts, and performance insights to clients
- Identify opportunities to optimize existing campaigns and expand digital programs
Campaign Development, Implementation, and Optimization
- Partner with internal teams, vendors, and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality digital campaigns
- Ensure campaigns are completed on schedule and within approved budgets
- Oversee campaign implementation across email platforms, donation pages, digital advertising, and related systems
- Monitor campaign performance and adjust strategies based on results
- Analyze fundraising and engagement data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
- Use campaign results to support future planning, optimization, and client reporting
Leadership and Collaboration
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Digital Program Managers and Assistant Program Managers
- Support the professional development of teammates through coaching, collaboration, and knowledge sharing
- Collaborate with paid media, production, and account teams to support effective execution and client satisfaction
- Maintain strong working relationships with clients, internal teams, and external partners
- Stay current on digital fundraising strategies, platforms, tools, and industry trends
- Contribute to departmental initiatives, professional training, and thought-leadership activities
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience managing digital fundraising or digital marketing campaigns
- Agency or nonprofit experience preferred
- Strong strategic thinking skills combined with hands-on campaign execution experience
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex campaigns simultaneously
- Strong project management, organization, prioritization, and deadline-management skills
- Proven ability to interpret digital fundraising metrics and campaign performance data
- Ability to translate data into clear insights, recommendations, and optimization strategies
- Experience using email marketing platforms and fundraising CRM systems
- Experience with platforms such as Engaging Networks, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Luminate, EveryAction, Classy, Fundraise Up, or similar tools
- Confident and engaging communication style during virtual meetings and client presentations
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to build trusted relationships with clients, colleagues, vendors, and other stakeholders
- Working knowledge of HTML preferred but not required
Travel
Occasional travel may be required for client meetings, professional training, or company gatherings.
