Job Details
Employment Type: Full-Time
Annual Salary: $100,000 - $110,000 per year
About the Role
This opportunity is for a QA Engineer who will own software quality from planning through release within an Agile product and engineering squad. The role combines manual testing, exploratory testing, AI-assisted validation, and scalable test automation for enterprise software built on the Salesforce platform.
This position plays a central role in the transition from traditional manual testing to an AI-augmented quality model. AI agents perform initial testing passes, while the QA Engineer reviews the generated results, identifies missed scenarios, investigates false positives and false negatives, and applies technical judgment to determine release quality and risk.
The QA Engineer will also build and maintain Playwright automation using Page Object Model design patterns, expand automated coverage toward an 80% target, and use tools such as Claude and GitHub Copilot to generate test cases, create automation scripts, debug failures, and accelerate testing workflows.
What You’ll Do
AI-Assisted Quality Validation
- Review and validate AI-generated testing results for accuracy, completeness, false positives, and false negatives
- Apply quality assurance expertise and technical judgment to determine pass or fail outcomes
- Identify gaps in AI-generated testing and determine where additional human validation is needed
- Use AI development tools such as Claude and GitHub Copilot as core components of the testing workflow
- Use AI tools to generate test cases, write automation scripts, debug failures, and accelerate test coverage growth
Manual and Exploratory Testing
- Execute manual test cases for new and existing software functionality
- Perform targeted exploratory and edge-case testing across complex workflows, boundary conditions, and integration points
- Focus manual testing efforts on high-risk areas and scenarios where automated or AI-generated coverage is insufficient
- Evaluate product behavior from the end-user perspective and identify quality or usability risks
QA Strategy and Release Readiness
- Own QA strategy and testing execution for an assigned Agile squad
- Create and maintain test plans based on product requirements, acceptance criteria, technical risks, and release priorities
- Perform risk assessments and make informed release-readiness decisions
- Maintain accountability for code quality and product quality throughout the software development lifecycle
- Coordinate testing activities across multiple teams and projects
Test Automation
- Write and maintain automated tests using Playwright
- Follow Page Object Model design patterns to create scalable and maintainable automation
- Expand Page Object Model coverage to support the continued growth of the automated testing suite
- Work toward increasing automated test coverage to approximately 80%
- Use modern automation frameworks and testing practices to improve speed, consistency, and reliability
Defect Management and Collaboration
- Report software defects and track bugs through investigation and resolution
- Provide clear, specific, and actionable recommendations for product improvements
- Work closely with development, product management, and delivery teams throughout the SDLC
- Collaborate with Customer Support to triage complex application issues
- Communicate testing results, issue priority, risk, and business impact clearly and concisely
- Work independently while managing multiple projects, priorities, and testing activities
- Help teammates adopt AI-augmented quality assurance practices and updated testing workflows
