Position Overview
Clinical Intelligence is a complex, multi-product business shaped by acquisition and continued growth. Its long-term success depends on disciplined operations, predictable delivery, strong execution, and consistent coordination across teams.
The Vice President of Operations for Clinical Intelligence will serve as the senior operating executive and day-to-day execution leader for the business unit. This position will act as the General Manager’s trusted operational second-in-command, with full accountability for translating strategy into disciplined execution across people, processes, customer delivery, and business performance.
This role will partner closely with the General Manager to establish a consistent operating cadence, strengthen cross-functional execution, and improve delivery rigor. This structure will allow the General Manager to concentrate on enterprise leadership, strategic growth, key customers, and internal and external stakeholder relationships.
What You’ll Do
Operating Cadence and Execution Leadership
- Own the day-to-day operating rhythm of the Clinical Intelligence business.
- Lead weekly execution reviews, operational dashboards, and KPI tracking.
- Ensure business priorities are clearly defined, properly resourced, and delivered on schedule.
- Translate General Manager priorities into executable plans with clearly assigned owners, milestones, and timelines.
- Establish a predictable and scalable operating model across the Clinical Intelligence portfolio.
- Drive accountability, clarity, and operational discipline across Clinical Intelligence teams.
Delivery, Operations, and Process Ownership
- Own Clinical Intelligence delivery operations across customers and products.
- Standardize operating and delivery processes across MD Portals, Curation, CGMA, and CLEAN.
- Identify and eliminate operational bottlenecks, unnecessary rework, and process inefficiencies.
- Improve delivery efficiency, predictability, and gross margin performance.
- Ensure operational readiness for new customers, account expansions, and product launches.
- Develop a consistent, repeatable, and efficient model for accessing data from exchanges and reciprocating data.
- Ensure the return on investment for customers using the Clinical Intelligence suite is understood, measured, and monitored as it evolves.
Cross-Functional Integration
- Serve as the execution bridge among Product, Engineering, Sales, Delivery, and Operations.
- Coordinate consistent execution across Product, Engineering, Delivery, and Operations teams.
- Partner closely with Product teams to evaluate roadmap feasibility and delivery readiness.
- Align Sales commitments with operational capacity and delivery realities.
- Strengthen handoffs across pre-sale activities, implementation, and ongoing customer delivery.
- Ensure cross-functional priorities are understood and executed consistently.
Financial and Performance Management
- Partner with Finance to develop and maintain key operating metrics used to measure and monitor performance.
- Support improvements in delivery economics and gross margin.
- Track operational KPIs connected to annual recurring revenue, cost to serve, utilization, and delivery performance.
- Support pricing discipline by providing transparency into operational costs.
- Help ensure that all financial commitments for the Clinical Intelligence segment are achieved.
- Ensure operational data is accurate, timely, and ready to support business decisions.
Strategic Initiative Execution
- Lead the execution of high-priority Clinical Intelligence initiatives.
- Unify operating models across acquired businesses and products.
- Advance tooling, automation, and workflow improvement initiatives.
- Support the execution of EMR and EHR integration initiatives.
- Lead customer remediation, stabilization, and operational recovery efforts when needed.
People Leadership and Culture
- Lead Clinical Intelligence operations and delivery leaders with clear expectations and accountability.
- Promote a culture of ownership, follow-through, operational discipline, and continuous improvement.
- Identify skill gaps, capacity limitations, and organizational risks.
- Support talent development and succession planning across Clinical Intelligence operations.
- Strengthen leadership alignment and execution consistency throughout the organization.
