About the Role

This opportunity is for a Senior Onboarding Accounting Specialist who will serve as the first point of contact for new clients and guide them through account setup, data clean-up, onboarding timelines, and preparation for ongoing accounting support.

This is a client-facing, high-touch role that requires strong communication skills, solid accounting knowledge, accuracy, speed, and the ability to manage a large client portfolio effectively.

The role supports small business clients using an AI-powered bookkeeping and tax automation platform designed to replace manual bookkeeping processes, rules, and spreadsheets with more automated financial workflows.

What You’ll Do

• Lead daily client meetings to gather data, answer questions, and build trust throughout the onboarding process.
• Set up and configure platform accounts and QuickBooks Online accounts to support seamless integration with bookkeeping systems.
• Review signed proposals against actual client needs and recommend scope or pricing changes when appropriate.
• Manage onboarding timelines, deliverables, and client expectations with speed, accuracy, and clear communication.
• Troubleshoot setup issues and optimize account configurations for smoother client onboarding.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to transition accounts into ongoing support with the Accounting Specialists team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a client-facing accounting role, onboarding role, or similar position.
• Public accounting or multi-client accounting background.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online setup and troubleshooting.
• Strong background in both cash-based and accrual-based accounting.
• Excellent communication skills for working directly with clients in a high-touch onboarding environment.
• Ability to manage a large portfolio of clients with speed, accuracy, and strong attention to detail.
