Annual Base Salary: $160,000–$200,000 per year.
Position Overview
This senior sales leadership position is responsible for leading a team of Directors who oversee Account Executives focused on acquiring new customers and accelerating revenue growth.
The Vice President of Sales will establish the vision and strategy for net-new revenue growth, strengthen pipeline management, and implement standardized sales processes that support long-term business performance. This role will work closely with sales leadership to identify process improvement opportunities and successfully implement new sales strategies that create a clearly defined, efficient, and scalable sales organization.
The position requires strong attention to detail, analytical decision-making, and the ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Marketing, Strategic Partnerships, CFL, and Finance.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy designed to achieve aggressive net-new revenue growth targets across mid-market and enterprise customer segments.
- Lead a team of Directors responsible for overseeing Account Executives focused on new customer acquisition and revenue growth.
- Build and develop a team of skilled Account Executives by hiring high-performing talent and supporting the professional growth of existing team members.
- Establish effective sales processes, methodologies, and enablement programs that improve sales productivity and overall team performance.
- Continuously evaluate and optimize sales processes to increase efficiency, improve close rates, and support scalable revenue growth.
- Define sales territories, quotas, compensation plans, performance expectations, and metrics that encourage effective selling behaviors and new customer acquisition.
- Conduct regular pipeline reviews and provide coaching to Account Executives.
- Oversee deal progression and help ensure that the sales organization meets established revenue targets.
- Partner with Marketing to align lead-generation programs and campaigns with current sales priorities.
- Provide input on ideal customer profiles, market messaging, and product positioning.
- Track key sales performance metrics, including new revenue growth, average deal size, sales velocity, win rates, and customer acquisition costs.
- Report sales performance, communicate progress, identify gaps, and implement actions designed to improve results.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers and industry influencers to strengthen brand visibility and expand the sales pipeline.
- Stay current with relevant sales technologies, tools, processes, and best practices that can improve team productivity.
- Support all aspects of sales planning, including regular updates to quotas, headcount plans, and the overall sales plan.
- Provide analytical support and recommendations to leadership to improve sales strategies and decision-making.
- Evaluate customer and prospect coverage models and recommend sales team configurations that optimize sales effectiveness.
- Maintain key performance indicators, reports, and dashboards that help the sales organization focus on the most important performance drivers.
- Collaborate effectively with Sales, Marketing, Strategic Partnerships, CFL, Finance, and other internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- At least five years of sales leadership experience, ideally within a high-technology or SaaS organization serving mid-market and enterprise customers.
- Demonstrated success achieving or exceeding net-new revenue growth targets.
- Strong coaching, team development, and people leadership capabilities.
- Experience building, leading, and developing high-performing sales teams.
- A data-driven approach to sales leadership, with the ability to use metrics and analytics to evaluate and optimize sales performance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-management abilities.
- Ability to lead strategic conversations with senior executives.
- Knowledge of sales performance optimization and sales enablement best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and support the continued growth of the business.
