About the Role
This opportunity is for an R&D Project Manager responsible for coordinating and managing the delivery of research and development tax credit consulting projects. The role involves leading client engagements, managing project workflows from initiation through completion, and ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant delivery of project outcomes. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and clients.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct initial and in-depth client interviews to understand operations, research activities, and qualifying R&D processes
- Manage project workflows from beginning to end, ensuring efficient handling of multiple client engagements within deadlines
- Prepare accurate R&D tax credit calculations, including data collection, template development, and preparation of federal and state tax forms
- Develop detailed reports documenting R&D studies, including qualifying activities, expenses, and supporting documentation
- Maintain strong client relationships, provide regular status updates, and ensure timely receipt of required data
- Manage supporting team members through project assignments, team calls, quality control tasks, and workflow coordination
- Ensure all work is completed accurately and in compliance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements
- Assist with client vetting, respond to inquiries, and support level-of-effort (LOE) estimation and benefit analysis
- Conduct technical research on federal and state tax laws and maintain updated knowledge of R&D credit regulations
- Maintain and update templates, support internal process improvements, and contribute to team training initiatives
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
